The Embassy of Uganda in Beijing hosted 70 Chinese children in a cultural exchange today 18th July 2023. The event was organized to teach the children about Ugandan culture, tourism, and famous folk tales. 

The children were introduced to traditional Ugandan music and dances, had a taste of Ugandan food, and watched a performance of traditional Ugandan theater. They were also shown a video of the scenery of Uganda, including its national parks, and the children participated in a discussion about the conservation of wildlife and plants in Uganda. 

During the event, the Embassy officials introduced traditional craftsmanship from Uganda, painted, and had a lecture about the history, economy, and politics of the East African nation. In addition, the officials also gave lectures about the customs, languages, and culture of Uganda. 

The children had the chance to learn about the country’s famous culture and folklore, including stories of legendary kings and heroes. Finally, the children tasted Ugandan traditional cuisine.
