Charge de Affaires a.i. of Uganda Embassy Ambassador Mugisha Wilberforce Fred, while attending a Conference, metwith Ugandan Students in Wuhan and held a comprehensive interactive meeting.

 

The Ambassador and Embassy delegation were in Wuhan to attend the "2021 China-Africa Innovation Cooperation Conference" that opened on December 12th in Wuhan, capital of central China's Hubei province. 

 

The two-day event included a series of activities, including a forum, an exhibition of Innovation cooperation results and a seminar on Business Science and technology cooperation where Ambassador Mugisha presented Uganda and its investment potential.

 

Meeting with Ugandan Students

 

After the official event, the Ambassador met with 18 Ugandan students and appreciated the resolve, determination, and resilience they have maintained throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.

 

He addressed some of the issues they raised in the discussions and expressed his confidence that they would fully utilize their skills and, upon completion of study in China, would contribute to the socio-economic development of Uganda.
